Website statistics without cookies

Independently of the cookies above, our own server keeps a count of the pages it serves. This does not use cookies and does not read or store anything on your device, so it is not covered by the consent choices above and continues even if you decline optional cookies.

  • What is receivedYour network (IP) address, as with any website you visit, plus the page requested. It is used only at the moment of the request and is never written to our records.
  • What is derivedAn approximate country and network region, and whether you arrived from an advertisement, a search engine or a link.
  • What is storedNothing but a counter — for example “12 page loads from Germany, from advertising, in this 15-minute period”. No IP address, no identifier, no cookie, no device details, no city or coordinates. The records cannot be traced back to you or connected to any enquiry.
  • WhyTo understand which countries and campaigns our advertising actually reaches. Cookie-based statistics alone give a badly incomplete picture.
  • Lawful basisOur legitimate interest in measuring the reach and effectiveness of our own advertising (GDPR Article 6(1)(f)).
  • How longCounters are kept for 14 months and then deleted automatically.

Our hosting provider and other infrastructure providers also process your network address in order to deliver the website and keep it secure.
